CyFIR, LLC develops and distributes CyFIR Enterprise, a remote digital forensics platform providing unparalleled endpoint visibility and market-leading incident response cycle time.  The Company distributes CyFIR Enterprise through subscription licensing, managed services offerings and incident response services.  To support its growth objectives, the Company is recruiting a digital forensics sales engineer.

It is our preference that someone would be located close to our HQ in Ashburn, VA; however, we are willing to discuss a remote employment position anywhere in the US.

Role and Responsibilities

As a member of the CyFIR sales team, you will be aligned with multiple sales executives and be responsible for winning new business and strengthening relationships with existing accounts.  Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • A comprehensive demonstration of CyFIR Enterprise technology to target customers;
  • Direct software solution sales support on all technical matters;
  • Assist Sales Executives in delivering against revenue targets;
  • Lead technical presentations at reseller and end-user locations and events;
  • Provide product training for new and potential end-users and Partners;
  • Manage customer POC's to new contract wins;
  • Build and develop technical trust with customers and Partners;
  • Develop strategies and design architectures to address specific technical requirements of customers;
  • Provide technical feedback from the field on product enhancements and new capabilities.               


Understanding of cybersecurity solutions (EDR, UEM, DFIR, NGFW, SEIM, SIM, DLP, Encryption) especially focused on digital forensics software and services and over five years of experience in security software sales to enterprise and mid-market commercial customers are preferred requirements for this role.

  • Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) experience is preferred;
  • Networking experience TCP/IP, ICMP, IPSEC, SSL, SSH;
  • Knowledge in Windows & Linux Client/Server, MacOS operating systems;
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities using packet sniffers, command-line shell, and other tools;
  • Programing & scripting experience, the ability to parse logs and modify scripts; 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and presentation skills;
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth and rapidly changing environment;
  • Prior start-up experience with a record of introducing new security technology to the marketplace and securing initial customers would be highly preferred;
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently and remotely, while adapting to changes in processes and protocols as the business demands.
